Hello reader’s Today I am going to tell you how to download and install Palo Alto GlobalProtect app for Linux/Ubuntu . Many users are not able to find the direct link to download the global protect vpn for ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

In this blog post, I am sharing my google drive link where i have uploaded the .tgz file were you can directly download the GlobalProtect tgz file. The size of file is approx 82.7 MB.

Prerequisite

* Root / Sudo Access

* Linux Operating System

How to install GlobalProtect VPN on Ubuntu 22.04 / CentOS and Red Hat

Step.1 Download GlobalProtect VPN client from the above given link

Step2. Now Extract the installation tgz package using the following command: 

vikash@vetechno:~$   cd Download
vikash@vetechno:~/Download$ tar -xvf globalprotectvpn-vetechno.tgz

Step3. Then install the VPN according to your linux distribution
 

    * For Ubuntu and Debian, use the .deb file 

vikash@vetechno:~/Download$   sudo dpkg -i GlobalProtect_deb-5.3.1.0-36.deb

    * For Red Hat and CentOS, use the rpm file

vikash@vetechno:~/Download$   sudo yum install ./GlobalProtect_rpm-5.3.1.0-36.rpm

    * For Graphical Interface Ubuntu, use GlobalProtect_UI_deb-5.3.1.0-36.deb file

vikash@vetechno:~$   sudo dpkg -i GlobalProtect_UI_deb-5.3.1.0-36.deb

    *  For Graphical Interface Red Hat & CentOS, use GlobalProtect_UI_rpm-5.3.1.0-36.rpm file

vikash@vetechno:~$   sudo yum install ./GlobalProtect_UI_rpm-5.3.1.0-36.rpm

Step4. Now confirm the installation with the help of below command

vikash@vetechno:~$   globalprotect help

Now go to Show Application and search GlobalProtect, use your user portal address to connect with VPN.

Congratulation, you have successfully installed GlobalProtect VPN in your Ubuntu 22.04 jammy jellyfish.

  1. everything is ok, but Global protect vpn is not working property while connecting due the ssl handshake erros.
