How to Install MySQL 8.0 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

This tutorial will help you how to install MySQL 8.0 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. MySql 8.0 is a free open source relational database server. It supports both SQL and NoSql.

Enable GingerCannot connect to Ginger Check your internet connection
or reload the browser

So first you have to  download .deb package of MySQL 8. Then simply follow the below commands to install MySQL 8.0 on Ubuntu.
wget https://dev.mysql.com/get/mysql-apt-config_0.8.10-1_all.deb
 
sudo dpkg -i mysql-apt-config_0.8.10-1_all.deb

sudo apt-get update
 
sudo apt-get install mysql-server

sudo mysql –verson
Done!! You have successfully installed MySql 8.0 on Ubuntu 16.04. This method will also work on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. If you have any doubt let me know in this comment box.
