How do you install Google Chrome onand Ubuntu 20.04


Google Chrome is a free web browser that is used for searching for the content all over the world. It was developed by Google. Chrome was first released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, now it is also available to Linux, Mac OS, iOS, and Android.

Google Chrome is a fast, easy to use, and secure browser. In Debian (Ubuntu) you have two option for installing software i.e first one is from terminal and second one is from Ubuntu Software.

Below is the step by step commands that you can easily install google chrome on Ubuntu Operating System.

Step 1. Open terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + t key from your keyboard.


sudo apt-get update 

Step 2.  Now download the google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb file


wget https://dl.google.com/linux/direct/google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb

 Step 3. Now install google chrome with dpkg command.


sudo dpkg -i
google-chrome-stable_current_amd64.deb
 

 Step 4. Now check chrome browser in search box.

 

Conclusion


Congratulation we have successfully installed Google chrome search engine in your Linux/Ubuntu Debian distribution Operation System. It will same work on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Ubuntu 21.04.
